Engineering: Front End Developer
JOB DESCRIPTION
Software engineer will work closely with the Director of Engineering at VERT.
Successful candidates will have experience in a software engineering role within a successful technology company, and will have developed and shipped one or more commercial products. In addition, this role will work closely with the software development team and various cross-functional teams. This role requires a blend of software expertise, highly analytical mindset, good judgment and delivery focus.
Primary Responsibilities

Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Work with outside data sources and API’s

Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.

Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Requirements

BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

3+ years of relevant work experience as a project manager, program manager, product manager, technical lead or engineering manager creating consumer mobile, software, or web applications.

Must have the ability to work with both iOS and Android development environments.

Programming skills in iOS, Objective-C, Android, Java, Dagger, Espresso, RxJava/RxAndroid, REST/JSON, Gradle, and Bluetooth/LE Wireless protocols

Experience with third-party libraries and APIs

Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
